Lagos charges officers to drive innovation

The Lagos State Government has called on Learning and Development Schedule Officers across the public service to cultivate a culture of continuous innovation and measurable impact. Head of Service Bode Agoro emphasized this during Bootcamp 3.0, held in Lekki from Thursday to Saturday. Agoro highlighted the officers' role as guardians of institutional knowledge and change agents, urging them to return to their respective ministries equipped to measure the true return on investment.

Commissioner Afolabi Ayantayo, also present, stressed that human capital was the state's greatest asset under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. He stressed the need to move beyond viewing training as routine and measure success through tangible performance improvements. Dr Olubusola Abidakun, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Establishments and Training, detailed the initiative's goal of transitioning L&D officers into strategic performance architects.

The three-day event aimed to shift from traditional box-ticking training to a metrics-driven culture focused on workplace transformation and data analytics.
