BN can win Pahang with PH or PN, says Wan Rosdy

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, Umno vice-president and Pahang menteri besar, suggested that the Barisan Nasional (BN) could secure the state of Pahang if it cooperated with either Pakatan Harapan (PH) or Perikatan Nasional (PN) in the 16th General Election (GE16). According to Wan Rosdy, if BN worked with PH, it could potentially lose 15 per cent of Malay voters, but the party would still emerge victorious.

The vice-president further stated that BN could also win if it went solo, albeit with a very high risk involved. Pahang Umno has held multiple retreats to deliberate on the best political alignment, considering three options: BN with PH, BN with PN, or BN going it alone. Despite these discussions, there is no final decision yet, and the matter remains under consideration as more information is gathered before presenting it to Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
