EU Examines Funding for Ukraine-Led FREYJA Missile Defense System
The European Commission is considering financial support for FREYJA, a pan-European anti-ballistic missile project initiated by Ukraine, EU Defence Commissioner Andrius Kubilius said on Friday, Sept. 11. Funding could be drawn from the €90 billion Ukraine support loan or the €1.5 billion EDIP mechanism amid acute shortages of US-made interceptors.
