Russia may exhaust resources for war against Ukraine by 2028 – Ukrainian intelligence

Russia launched a barrage of 160 drones across Ukraine overnight, resulting in at least one death and multiple injuries. Ukraine's Armed Forces reported a drone attack in Kyiv's Dniprovskyi district, causing a nine-storey residential building to catch fire and evacuate eight people, including a 64-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman with burn wounds, and a 23-year-old woman with shrapnel wounds. Other Ukrainian cities, including Dnipro and Odesa, were also targeted in attacks.

Russian attacks have increasingly focused on logistic hubs, warehouses, and critical infrastructure. In Dnipro, three separate attacks on Thursday resulted in five injuries. Odesa experienced an attack on infrastructure. A Russian drone attack on the Bucha, Fastiv, and Obukhiv districts of Kyiv killed one person and injured two others.

The Russian assault on Kyiv damaged seventeen sites in the Bucha, Fastiv, and Obukhiv districts, destroying shops, retail units, and vehicles in the city center. Hanzha, the Head of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration, revealed that 90% of the damaged facilities were commercial, with children between the ages of four and 17 receiving medical treatment.

Russia also attacked the city of Kramatorsk, dropping six aerial bombs on residential areas, injuring 23 people, including a child. The Ukrainian military and emergency services have reported Russian attacks on energy-related facilities in preparation for the winter. Ukraine has primarily targeted Russia's oil and gas infrastructure, striking the Saratov oil refinery and a logistics center belonging to the e-commerce company Ozon.
