OGC Nice consider ‘joker’ move for Rennes’ Alidu Seidu

OGC Nice are reportedly eyeing Stade Rennais defender Alidu Seidu, despite the French transfer window closing on September 1st. The North African international, 26 years old, is being considered as a "joker" option by the Côte d'Azur club, following Antoine Mendy's ACL injury. This injury, sustained during Rennes' match against Le Mans, creates an opportunity for Nice to sign a player with a severe squad injury.

Seidu, currently on the fringes at Rennes, has become a priority target for the Nice management. The club is awaiting confirmation of their budget from owners INEOS before finalizing any move. A loan deal with a buy option is being considered, according to L'Équipe.
