Michael Moragia Nyachae, son of former powerful Minister Simeon Nyachae and chairman of Development Bank of Kenya (DBK), was charged with theft of Sh1.2 million on Friday. The businessman allegedly stole the money from his family's business, Sansora Group Limited, between 28th March, 2019 and 28th September, 2021 at Kisii County. Moragia was arrested on Thursday in Bomet County and released on Sh50,000 cash bail by Milimani Court Principal Magistrate Caroline Nyaguthii. The case will be mentioned on September 29, 2026.
