Zelensky arrives in Canada for talks with leaders

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Canada on Wednesday, as per Canadian media reports. He is set to meet with government leaders to strengthen ties, focusing on defence, economic, and energy cooperation. Prime Minister Mark Carney stated that the visit will also address the human impact of Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

Zelensky and his wife, Olena Zelenska, will visit Calgary, Toronto, North Bay, and Banff, Alberta, before concluding their trip on Friday. The visit follows a trip to Norway for the funeral of King Harald V, where Zelensky's plane was reportedly nearly hit by a drone during takeoff from Moldova, though Ukraine and Moldova downplayed the claim.
