Second coaching clinic held for school kids at NCA

LAHORE - A second coaching clinic for school kids was recently held at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) as part of the PCB Talent Hunt Programme for Schools. The event featured the Star School cricket team, who trained and were mentored by notable Pakistani cricketers Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Mohammad Nawaz.

Since the second week of August, preparation camps for 1,400 schools across 100 districts have been underway, with the tournament set to commence on September 19th at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The School Cricket season has returned with a strong start, following its successful 2025 edition and supported by the PCB, aiming to offer playing opportunities to approximately 21,000 school children in its second iteration.

During the clinic, the Star School players remained focused on honing their skills. Shaheen, Haris, and Nawaz observed and analyzed the techniques and playing styles of the young cricketers. Haris provided guidance to fast bowlers, Nawaz outlined key aspects of spin bowling, while Shaheen imparted vital tips to the batters in the nets. Following the clinic, the school kids had the opportunity to watch the national players train at the NCA.
