Puteri Umno has urged the government to provide a comprehensive assistance package to support young single mothers in the country. The organization's leader, Nurul Amal Fauzi, emphasized that such a package should include opportunities for employment, housing provision, and special religious guidance to assert women's family income rights.

Speaking at the Puteri Umno 2026 Congress, Nurul Amal stressed the need for job creation, childcare support, financial aid, and housing for young single mothers, enabling them to regain independence. Moreover, she demanded that the party and government grant women under the age of 40 real space to make decisions, including employment in government-linked companies (GLC), local authority (PBT), charitable organizations, and electoral candidacies.

The leader pointed out that the 30% female quota cannot remain merely a rhetorical figure, but must translate into tangible opportunities that can be seen and proven. Nurul Amal also noted that young women are not merely needed to promote diversity, occupy boardrooms, or serve as campaign faces; they must be given space to lead.

Lastly, she mentioned that by the age of 25, she wishes to leave behind the style of angry politics and longstanding enmity no longer acceptable to the younger generation. "We want to bring politics back to a focused confidence-building approach towards solving people's problems, integrity, and the ability to rebuild trust in the next generation's political landscape," she concluded.
