Peguam pertikai dakwaan Ismail dipaksa tandatangan dokumen

Pengerusi Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS) Ismail Lasim is facing allegations that he was coerced into signing a proclamation document to remove Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir as the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan. Khairul Azam Abdul Aziz, the attorney representing the individual who filed the lawsuit, claims that Ismail's assertion that he signed the document under duress is merely a post hoc rationalization.

According to Harian Metro, there were no circumstances that day that would have compelled the Negeri Sembilan Chief Minister to make such a decision.

Ismail attended the signing of the proclamation alongside his attorney, Abu Bakar Isa Ramat, and was briefed by the plaintiffs on the decision to remove Tuanku Muhriz. Khairul Azam stated that on the previous Tuesday, several individuals, including Undang Luak Johol Muhammed Abdullah, brought claims to a media briefing alleging that Ismail had signed the proclamation document.

They contended that Ismail signed and completed the proclamation under the provisions of Section 10(2) of the State Government Corporation Act, dated August 3rd. However, Ismail maintained that he was forced to sign the proclamation, leading to the filing of a police report earlier in the day.
