‘Siapa paksa tandatangan’, Syahredzan gesa Ismail dedah perkara sebenar

DAP MP Syahredzan Johan has urged Negeri Sembilan's Menteri Besar Ismail Lasim to reveal the true story behind the alleged forced signatures on a proclamatory document, which reportedly led to the demotion of Tuanku Muhriz to Yang Dipertuan Besar. Johan argued that the accusations cannot be taken lightly as they implicate the constitutional institutions in the country.

He called for an investigation into the matter, stating that the issue has now affected the state of Negeri Sembilan, the monarchy, and the Malay sultanate. Johan, who is also the deputy chairman of DAP, raised questions about the responsibility of those involved, similar to reports from international media. He questioned whether certain individuals within Umno were involved in this episode, leading to the removal of a Malay king they acknowledged as legitimate.

Earlier, Ismail was reported to have been forced to sign the proclamatory document, as seen on social media. He filed a police report around 6 pm the previous day to allow the authorities to conduct their investigation. On the same day, several individuals, including Undang Luak Johol Muhammed Abdullah, claimed in a media briefing that Ismail had signed the proclamatory document to remove Tuanku Muhriz.

They alleged that Ismail signed and completed the proclamatory form under Article 10(2) of the State Government Corporation Act 1994, dated August 3. Prior to this, the State Secretariat Four demanded that the state government, particularly the administration of the state, adhere to the proclamatory act of lowering Tuanku Muhriz's throne, which was allegedly signed by Ismail at Istana Laguna Biru, Port Dickson, the previous month.
