Ja'Marr Chase eyeing Super Bowl, good health to begin Bengals season

Cincinnati Bengals receiver Ja Marr Chase is expected to be fully healthy for the team's season opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to recent reports. Chase, who suffered a knee injury during a training camp practice on August 25, has taken on his normal workload in practice and felt good during a Sept. 10 news conference at Paycor Stadium. Cincinnati head coach Zac Taylor had previously stated that Chase and receiver Tee Higgins were both expected to be available for the Sept. 13 home opener.

In his Sept. 10 press conference, Chase emphasized that his sole goals for the 2026 season are to win the Super Bowl and advance to the AFC Championship game. He did not mention any personal or statistical objectives he felt were necessary during the interview. Chase also expressed his role as a team captain for the second consecutive year, noting that he must lead by example and use his words to inspire his teammates. He stressed the importance of being vocal and setting a positive example for the rest of the team.
