"Yes, I can confirm tomorrow at 8:30 am, there will be a meeting of the good governance council," she told reporters after attending a program.

Yesterday, a source familiar with the matter told FMT that former Prime Minister Najib Razak's petition is expected to be among the issues discussed in the LPWP meeting this week. However, it is unclear whether the meeting will reach a decision or merely discuss the petition. Another source said Najib may be allowed to serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest, but it remains unclear if this will be considered in the meeting.

At 72 years old, Najib was charged with six years in prison for misusing RM42 million from SRC International. He was fined RM210 million and is currently serving a 12-year sentence at Kajang Prison since August 2022. The Federal Court recently rejected Najib's appeal to serve the reduced six-year sentence under house arrest in the SRC International case.
