Soul Glo Announce New Album NA I’M GON GRAB ALLAT: Hear “February Theory”

Soul Glo, the hardcore band, is preparing to launch their inaugural album in over a year, titled "Na I’m Gon Grab Allat." This album is set to be released on January 15 through Epitaph Records. It follows the 2022 release, "Diaspora Problems," and boasts contributions from a host of artists including MIKE, Bbymutha, TV on the Radio's Tunde Adebimpe, and Eugene Robinson.

Today, the band also unveiled a fresh track, "February Theory," alongside Mannequin Pussy. This song comes complete with a music video directed by Robert Silverstein, which brings to life scenes of a bar brawl over a hot dog, a lively church funeral, and instances of literal can-kicking. "Na I’m Gon Grab Allat" was recorded entirely at the band's hometown, Foto Club, with longtime collaborator Evan Bernard. In a press release, vocalist Pierce Jordan dedicates the album to "everyone who has known the joy and pain of loving a man," acknowledging a broad spectrum of love – platonic, romantic, familial, and self. The album's track list suggests the "pain" aspect is well-represented, with four different tracks titled "Resentment."

Since their 2022 release, Soul Glo has been selective with their music releases. They co-headlined a tour with Zulu, performed at Coachella, became the first hardcore band to do an NPR Tiny Desk Concert, and even reworked System of a Down's "Soil" in 2023. The following year, they dropped the song "If I Speak (Shut the Fuck Up)" in 2024. Next week, the band will embark on a tour with Chat Pile, Prize Horse, and Shallowater, with the latter two joining a double bill on select dates.
