HDMC gives conditional nod for Ganesha festival at Idgah Maidan

Mandya District administration has pledged to extend all requisite support and police protection to ensure the peaceful observance of the Gowri-Ganesha festival, while simultaneously vowing to take stringent legal action against any individuals who attempt to disrupt public order. At a taluk-level harmony meeting held in Nagamangala, Mandya Deputy Commissioner Kumar emphasized that no celebration should be marred by fear or apprehension, and underscored the need to maintain an environment free from provocations that could stir communal tensions in Mandya district, renowned for its exemplary spirit of communal harmony.

He lamented some unsettling incidents that had transpired in the district over the past two years, highlighting them as a blot on the overall system. Urging the public to remain watchful and vigilant, he urged everyone to act responsibly and ensure that no activities that could undermine harmony and communal amity are allowed to persist.
