He stated that the fire affected the two pediatric wards and was successfully extinguished by Pahang Bomb Squad within approximately 20 minutes.

Six male children, five female children, and six women residing in the affected wards managed to escape unharmed, with no injuries reported, according to his statement. The source of the fire, according to the Bomb squad, originated from the upper part of the pediatric wards building, resulting in about 10% damage and some structural damage.

The cause of the fire and the estimated amount of loss are still under investigation by JBPM Pahang.
