Rohan Parikh: From London to the centre of BKC’s ‘PMO ID’ case

Rohan Parikh, only 24 years old, has an impressive background with a BSc in Mathematics and Science from London and a keen interest in drone technology. Recently, he was arrested after allegedly using a fraudulent Prime Minister's Office (PMO) identity card to gain entry into Jio World Plaza in BKC, mere days before Prime Minister Narendra Modi's scheduled visit.

Along with Parikh was his friend Prathamesh Ganesh Bagul and his personal security guard, Dilip Rajaram Kunde, a retired Army personnel. Kunde was armed with a licensed revolver and six live cartridges, adding another layer of intrigue to the case. The trio was allegedly carrying a suspect PMO ID card, which identified Parikh as a Grade C official, seemingly linked to his drone technology background.

Police are probing whether Parikh was duped into carrying the fake card or if there were other motives behind his actions. Parikh's defense argues that he was himself a victim of fraud, believing he had a legitimate association with the PMO for nearly two years. He received communications purportedly from high-ranking officials, including a letter purportedly signed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

However, the police are diligently investigating the origin of the ID card and Parikh's movements using CCTV footage and digital communications.
