According to the lawyer, Parekh was provided with a letter purportedly signed by the PM and a digital identity card from the PMO.
Parekh further stated that one of the men accompanying him was his friend Prathamesh Bagul, a resident of Worli, while the other man, Dilip Kunde, was his bodyguard and a retired serviceman. Kunde was subsequently arrested and found in possession of a revolver and six live cartridges. The police are presently looking for Bagul, who is a 26-year-old resident of Nashik.
