Lindsay Clancy attorney will ask for jury to be sequestered in new trial

Jurors in Lindsay Clancy's murder trial have spoken out after the 12-person group was unable to reach a unanimous verdict, resulting in a mistrial. The high-profile case centered around Clancy's alleged strangling of her three children - Cora, Dawson and Callan - at their Duxbury, Massachusetts home on January 24, 2023. Clancy and her attorney argued she killed her children due to postpartum psychosis, while prosecutors maintained she was criminally responsible for their deaths.

The jurors, who deliberated for seven days, ultimately split 11-1 in favor of not guilty by reason of insanity, but one juror refused to change his mind. Foreperson Roni Carlson revealed that the holdout juror was arrogant and would not consider reasonable doubt. The jurors also described the emotional impact of the 911 call made by Clancy's husband, Patrick, upon discovering his wife and children in the basement, calling it "the most horrific thing."

The defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, was described as both entertaining and arrogant by the jurors, who ultimately believed he should have secured an acquittal for Clancy.
