Ismail dakwa dipaksa tandatangan surat turunkan Tuanku Muhriz

Pahang's Chief Minister Ismail Lasim insisted he was forced to sign a document proclaiming the removal of Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir as the rightful Yang Di Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, as he alleged on social media. Discussing the contentious proclamation document in a media briefing, Ismail claimed he signed the document without objection and under duress.

He had lodged a police report around 6pm the previous day to facilitate an investigation. On the same night, some individuals, including Undang Luak Johol and Muhammed Abdullah, made a media statement claiming Ismail had signed the proclamation document. They alleged that Ismail signed and completed the proclamation form under Section 10(2) of the State Government Body Act 1959, dated August 3rd.

Earlier, the State Secretariat of the Four had demanded the state government's administration demonstrate loyalty and adherence to the proclamation of Tuanku Muhriz's abdication. Meanwhile, Ismail stated that the state government deemed the proclamation document invalid, irregular, and unenforceable. The state government further took necessary steps to safeguard Tuanku Muhriz's honor and status as the legitimate and dignified Yang Di Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan.

The state assembly meeting the previous day also discussed establishing a conciliation committee to address the matter harmoniously, amicably, and based on mutual goodwill. Ismail reaffirmed his complete support and unwavering loyalty to Tuanku Muhriz as the sole rightful Yang Di Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan.
