Ismail dakwa dipaksa tandatangan surat turunkan Tuanku Muhriz

Pahang's Chief Minister Ismail Lasim insists he was forced to sign a document lowering Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir as the rightful Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, after claiming to have been coerced into doing so. The controversy emerged in social media posts and during a media briefing, where Ismail claimed he signed the proclamation document under duress.

He reported the incident to the police around 6 pm the previous day. On the eve of the event, some individuals, including Undang Luak Johol and Muhammed Abdullah, held a media briefing accusing Ismail of signing the proclamation document. They stated that Ismail signed and completed the proclamation under Section 10(2) of the State Government Corporation Act 1959.

Previously, the State Secretariat Four had demanded that Ismail fulfill his duties as a state administrator and adhere to the proclamation of Tuanku Muhriz's dethronement. Meanwhile, Ismail claimed that the state government believed the proclamation document did not meet the procedures and requirements outlined in Section 10 of the State Government Corporation Act 1959.

Consequently, the document was deemed invalid, inauspicious, and unenforceable. The state government also took necessary steps to ensure the continued honor and position of Tuanku Muhriz as the rightful Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan. The state government's meeting also discussed setting up an arbitration committee to find a harmonious, peaceful, and mutual solution to the issue.

Ismail once again expressed his full support and unwavering loyalty to Tuanku Muhriz as the only rightful Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan.
