iPhone 18 Pro Max Has 'Longest Battery Life in an iPhone' at Up to 45 Hours

The iPhone 18 Pro Max boasts the largest battery capacity among all iPhones, surpassing its Pro counterparts. This model provides longer battery life in various usage scenarios compared to its predecessors. For instance, typical usage scenarios yield up to 30 hours of battery life, video playback reaches up to 45 hours, and streaming video extends to 40 hours.

In contrast, the iPhone 17 Pro models offered up to 33 hours of video playback and 39 hours of streaming video. The improvements in battery life are notable, with the iPhone 18 Pro gaining three extra hours and the iPhone 18 Pro Max adding six hours to its battery duration. Apple defines its "typical use" metric based on median iPhone usage, encompassing activities such as messaging, photo capturing, music streaming, social media interaction, video streaming, gaming, web browsing, and navigation.

Both the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models feature rapid charging capabilities, capable of reaching 50% charge in just 15 minutes when connected to a 60W or higher Adjustable Voltage Supply power adapter. They can also achieve a 50% charge within 30 minutes using a 35W adapter, and support up to 25W MagSafe and Qi2.2 charging. Preorders for the iPhone 18 Pro models commence on September 12 at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
