Health Ministry rolls out El Niño plan in 18 high-risk counties

The Ministry of Education has issued a warning to the public regarding the circulation of counterfeit and digitally altered Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) placement slips on social media platforms. In a statement released on September 9, 2026, the Ministry noted that it had received numerous reports of individuals tampering with CSSPS placement slips and falsely asserting that the Ministry had altered students' original placement results.

Preliminary investigations conducted by the Ministry revealed that some of the questionable placement slips being distributed do not align with the data generated from the official CSSPS platform. The Ministry pointed out that the barcodes and QR codes on the purported placement slips do not match the corresponding information displayed on the documents circulated as evidence of alleged modifications.

Furthermore, the Ministry emphasized that its own system and audit logs do not corroborate the claims being made, indicating that the affected documents have been digitally manipulated or altered to mislead the public into believing that students' placements have been changed. The Ministry described this as a serious attempt to erode public trust in the CSSPS placement process and create unwarranted confusion and anxiety among students, parents, and guardians.

In response to this development, the Ministry has referred the matter to the Cyber Security Authority and other pertinent security agencies for a thorough investigation. The Ministry has strongly advised the public to exercise caution and avoid sharing unverified placement slips or claims on social media. Students, parents, and guardians have been instructed to rely solely on placement information obtained through official CSSPS channels.

The Ministry reiterated its commitment to maintaining the transparency, fairness, integrity, and accountability of the 2026 CSSPS placement exercise.
