Ángel Burgueño, CEO of Grupo Merletti, acquired Dolores Promesas in 2025 after being a supplier to the brand. Now, he aims to reposition, internationalize, and expand its product range with new categories while promoting a disciplined, committed, and gradual management style. Dolores Promesas, a fashion brand founded in 2004, was recently featured at the Museo Arqueológico Nacional in a gala event, wearing dresses and a red carpet designed by Juan Duyos for the brand.

Duyos, a designer, has added value to the company and opened doors to new segments such as the "dolce vita" and red carpet collections for Dolores Promesas. The CEO emphasizes that romanticism in business means doing your best and ensuring the company's viability. The brand had experienced significant success due to the rise of social media and online retail, reaching over 40 points of sale before entering bankruptcy proceedings in late 2020.

Burgueño is in talks to expand Dolores Promesas to Mexico and Latin America following its introduction to Canada and England. The partnership with Duyos signifies the company's intention to venture into new territories, including spring-summer 2027's Lola collection. Despite the romanticism in business, the executive stresses that there is no romanticism in managing the brand. He remains committed to ensuring the company's viability and growth.
