SG4 Group Sdn Bhd, a strategic economic and investment platform jointly managed by Kedah, Terengganu, Perlis and Kelantan governments, is set to host the SG4 Business and Economy Forum 2026 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) on October 26. The forum will bring together government leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, financial institutions, industry players, tech startups, entrepreneurs, and technology pioneers to discuss how the four states can play a larger role in Malaysia's future economy.

Topics to be discussed include changes in the global economic environment, current conditions for investment and capital markets, government fundamentals, new technologies, industrial transformation, and emerging opportunities in the SG4 states. Media invitation notes highlight the forum's importance as a platform to connect capital with opportunities, technology with resources, industries with suitable locations, and government aspirations with private sector execution.

SG4 Group's consultant Dr Mahathir Mohamad will deliver a special message, while Kedah's Menteri Besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar will make the opening remarks. Terengganu's Menteri Besar Sanusi Nor, Kelantan's Menteri Besar Nassuruddin Daud, and Perlis' Menteri Besar Abu Bakar Hamzah will also deliver opening remarks. The forum will feature several economic experts, including Noor Azlan Ghazali from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Muhammed Abdul Khalid from Universiti Malaya, and Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd's Chief Economist Afzanizam Rashid.

Other speakers will include prominent figures from banking and corporate sectors such as NeXchange Bhd's Chairman Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Tahir, Hong Leong Islamic Bank Bhd's Executive Director Dafinah Ahmed Hilmi, and Agro Bank's Deputy Chairman Rosli Jusoh.
