The SG4 Group Sdn Bhd, an economic and investment platform jointly owned by the governments of Kedah, Terengganu, Perlis, and Kelantan, has announced the upcoming SG4 Economic and Business Forum 2026. Scheduled to take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) on October 26, the forum will gather leaders from various sectors, including government officials, founders, investors, financial institutions, industry players, entrepreneurs, and technology pioneers.

The forum aims to discuss how these four states can play a more significant role in Malaysia's future economy. Topics to be addressed include the changing global economic environment, current investment and capital market conditions, government foundations, cutting-edge technology, industrial transformation, and new opportunities in the SG4 states.

SG4 encompasses the four states governed by the National Coalition (PN) - Kedah, Terengganu, Perlis, and Kelantan. In the invitation to the media, SG4 Group emphasized the importance of this forum as a platform to connect capital with opportunities, technology with resources, industries with suitable locations, and government aspirations with private sector execution.

SG4 Group Advisor Dr. Mahathir Mohamad will deliver a special message, followed by speeches from the respective state Chief Ministers: Kedah's Sanusi Nor, Terengganu's Nassuruddin Daud, Perlis' Abu Bakar Hamzah, and Kelantan's Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar.

Additionally, the forum will feature several economic experts, including Noor Azlan Ghazali from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Muhammed Abdul Khalid from Universiti Malaya, and Bank Muamalat Malaysia Bhd Chief Economist Afzanizam Rashid. Other scheduled speakers include prominent figures from the banking and corporate sectors such as NeXchange Bhd Chairman Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Tahir, Hong Leong Islamic Bank Bhd Executive Director Dafinah Ahmed Hilmi, and Agro Bank Deputy Chairman Rosli Jusoh.
