HD Hyundai, Philippines to deepen cooperation on naval modernization

HD Hyundai, a South Korean shipbuilder, is set to deepen its cooperation with the Philippine government to modernize the Philippine Navy and bolster the country's shipbuilding and defense sectors. During a meeting in Seoul, HD Hyundai's Chairman Chung Ki-sun and Philippine Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. discussed expanding their decade-long partnership in defense and shipbuilding.

Chung emphasized the significant impact the collaboration has had on strengthening the Philippine Navy's capabilities while maintaining the stability of HD Hyundai's business operations. The company aims to explore new avenues for long-term industrial cooperation beyond their current efforts.
