Haaland nets double as Man City beat Porto

Erling Haaland scored two goals, bringing his season total to 36 Champions League goals in just 40 appearances, as Manchester City secured a comfortable 2-0 victory against Porto in their Champions League opener. The Norwegian striker put the visitors ahead with a header and then rolled home a second goal, helping City begin their Champions League campaign with a strong showing.

Porto's goalkeeper Diogo Costa put up a strong performance, saving shots from Haaland and his City teammates. The Portuguese side, who have won all five of their league games so far this season, were frustrated at the Estadio do Dragao, failing to threaten on goal during the majority of the contest.
