Haaland double powers Man City to victory over Porto

Erling Haaland scored twice, helping Manchester City secure a 2-0 Champions League victory against Porto at the Dragao Stadium. The Norwegian striker was denied by a series of impressive saves by Porto's goalkeeper Diogo Costa in the first half, but found the back of the net early in the second half with a precise downward header.

Despite a flurry of attempts from Porto, they were unable to capitalize on several errors from the home side, ultimately failing to score. Haaland's second goal came in stoppage time, propelling him to third on the list of all-time City scorers with 167 goals. He emphasized the importance of delivering under pressure, stating that City has a great start to the season.

Manager Eduardo Nacho Maresca, who inherited a significant £460 million transfer budget, has overseen a strong debut campaign. Young Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi made his debut for City, while Porto welcomed back Ayyoub Bouaddi from Lille for his first start in the Champions League.
