‘Greatest receiver’ – Michael Irvin labels Miami WR as the greatest he has ever seen

Legendary former Dallas Cowboys star Michael Irvin has declared Miami Dolphins wide receiver Malachi Toney as the greatest receiver he has witnessed in his career. Irvin, a five-time Pro Bowler and multiple All-Pro himself, played during the 1990s when defenses were known for their toughness. Despite the physical nature of the game, Irvin's skill set allowed him to record over 1,000 receiving yards seven times in his 12-year career.

He has long been regarded as one of the top wide receivers in the game, alongside other legends like Jerry Rice, Cris Carter, and Tim Brown.

The former Miami player recorded 234 receiving yards in a single game against Stanford, breaking Eddie Brown's 42-year-old record for most receiving yards in a single game. Irvin expressed his astonishment at Toney's abilities, stating that he had never seen anything like it before and that he would wait to see if anyone could top his performance. No one has come close, and Irvin believes that Toney's abilities will only continue to improve.

With Irvin's glowing endorsement, Toney's career trajectory has been elevated.
