Google Maps on Android Auto finally got this highly requested feature, but now it’s disappearing

Waze users on Android Auto are currently experiencing a separate bug that's hiding their journey information. However, Waze is not the only navigation app facing technical difficulties at the moment. Google Maps is also experiencing problems on the platform.

The issue appears to be related to a feature that started rolling out for Google Maps on Android Auto in July. Initially, the feature was only available to select beta testers. The live speedometer functionality is already present in Google Maps on Apple's CarPlay experience, but Google took longer to integrate it into Android Auto.
