Umno Selangor dalam keadaan sedia teroka kerjasama dengan PAS

Selangor Umno appears prepared to explore cooperation with PAS, according to Imran Tamrin, the party's Youth Leader. In a recent meeting, the Youth Pledge Umno Selangor delegation attending a PAS Youth gathering indicated the current level of their ties with the opposition party. Imran told FMT that this readiness to explore potential cooperation demonstrates the group's willingness.

He dismissed the suggestion as something unthinkable or unusual, stating that from a cooperation perspective, it's not impossible or alien to delve into such endeavors.

Imran also commented on PAS President Hadi Awang's statement on Friday, in which he sought to strengthen Umno-PAS cooperation for the upcoming elections. In addition to dominating the state, Hadi aimed for a strong and unassailable majority through such collaboration. The split between the National Alliance and Barisan Nasional in Negeri Sembilan, where the former governed with a 2/3 majority in the Parliament and the latter held 14 seats against the latter's five (including PAS's three and two from Bersatu), contrasts sharply with Selangor's situation, where BN holds only two seats while PN occupies ten (all PAS-held).

Imran stressed that any form of collaboration between Umno and PAS should be based on strength, advantage, and the roles each party can play. In Selangor, whether or not such cooperation already exists has been evident since the formation of Muafakat Nasional.
