Zheng stuns Keys as US Open upsets dim American hopes

Zheng Qinwen stunned Madison Keys and advanced to the US Open fourth round on Saturday, marking the first time a qualifier reached this stage since Emma Raducanu's 2021 victory. Blockx will next play Francisco Cerundolo. Austrian Anastasia Potapova defeated Amanda Anisimova, reaching the US Open last 16 for the first time. Former champion Gauff won her match against Spain's Cristina Bucsa, relying on her defensive skills to overcome a slow start. Gauff now faces Jovic, with whom she has a 3-0 record in their three encounters, including a doubles partnership.
