Zahid tepis dakwaan hubungan dengan Anwar makin tegang

Deputy Prime Minister Zahid Hamidi escalated tensions surrounding his relationship with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, as reported by Bloomberg. In a meeting with Anwar and Transport Minister Loke Siew Fook, Zahid insisted that their relationship remained cordial, contrary to Bloomberg's claims. The Bloomberg report suggested that the tension stemmed from the Barisan Nasional's decision to oppose Pakatan Harapan in the PRN elections in Johor and Negeri Sembilan, as well as pressure from DAP to modernize institutions ahead of the year-end.

However, Zahid maintained that BN would continue to uphold its promise of remaining in a united government until the end of the current administration. Umno, which has pledged to remain in a united government until the end of the 15th Parliament term, stood firm on this commitment. Meanwhile, former Umno Youth Chief Khairy Jamaluddin had reported that Anwar and Zahid's trust levels were at their lowest following BN's decision to cooperate with Perikatan Nasional in the PRN Negeri Sembilan. Anwar refuted this claim, stating that Khairy was merely expressing his personal opinion.
