Saudi Arabia and Arab, Islamic states condemn Israeli ministers’ remarks on Gaza displacement

Foreign ministers from several Arab and Islamic nations, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt, have strongly condemned remarks by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz. These Israeli officials proposed mechanisms for forcibly removing Palestinians from their homes in the Gaza Strip, a plan that the ministers firmly reject.

The ministers acknowledged the statements as a flagrant breach of international law, including humanitarian law, and a direct threat to the Palestinian people's rights. They reiterated their vehement opposition to any attempts to displace Palestinians, both within occupied territories and beyond, under any pretext. The ministers warned that such actions would undermine peace efforts, including the Trump peace plan, and could destabilize the region.

They emphasized the Gaza Strip's status as an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territories and stressed the importance of preserving its unity. The ministers reinforced their call for the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to oppose any attempts to alter the demographic or geographical landscape of the occupied Palestinian territories and to uphold international law.

They reaffirmed their unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their resolve to combat any efforts to undermine the Palestinian cause or the rights of the Palestinian people.
