Qatar participates in two GCC Gulf Health Council meetings

On today's date, Qatar joined the Gulf Health Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for two significant meetings. The delegation was led by HE Minister of Public Health Mansoor bin Ebrahim Al Mahmoud. The two gatherings focused on strengthening collaborative efforts in the health sector across the Gulf region.

The Gulf Health Council deliberated on the budget and initiatives planned for the year 2027. Simultaneously, the GCC Health Ministers Committee held discussions on several crucial matters, including the implementation of the Supreme Council's health decisions concerning the strategic storage of food, medicines, and other supplies. They also examined the status of expatriate workers.

Moreover, the committee reviewed the action plan for the GCC Gulf Health Council spanning 2026-2030, the Gulf Strategy for Combating Drugs from 2025-2028, and the project to establish the Gulf Centre for Food Risk Assessment. They also assessed the progress of decisions made during the 11th meeting of the GCC Health Ministers Committee.
