Police investigate Bielik fan clash at Portsmouth

Following the Portsmouth 2-0 Championship victory on Saturday, an investigation has been launched by Hampshire Police into an altercation involving Cardiff defender Krystian Bielik and a fan. According to the source, Bielik was engaged in a physical fight with a supporter as he attempted to retrieve a ball from the crowd in the second half of the game.

Cardiff head coach Brian Barry-Murphy stated that Bielik had been slapped in the face during the incident, while footage on social media showed the Poland international grabbing a young fan around his upper body.

The Hampshire Police confirmed that they are currently investigating an alleged assault that occurred during the football match at Fratton Park. They emphasized that their inquiries are ongoing and have not provided further details about the case. Witnesses claimed that several Portsmouth supporters displayed gestures indicating that the fan had been grabbed around the throat. In response to the incident, another fan threw a ball at Cardiff defender Perry Ng, and both individuals were subsequently removed from the stadium.

After the match, Portsmouth head coach John Mousinho issued an apology to Cardiff City's players. Portsmouth Football Club acknowledged that they are aware of the concerns raised by supporters regarding the incident involving a young fan and an opposition player.
