NPP Deputy Secretary passes on just months in office

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) mourns the recent passing of Sylvester Amedza, a Deputy Secretary from the Banda Constituency. Amedza's political career was tragically cut short, having only held his current position for a brief period. Colleagues have lauded Amedza for his ambition, commitment to the party's youth, and his unwavering support for young party members. Prior to his election as Deputy Secretary, Amedza had been a prominent figure in the Tertiary Students’ Confederacy Network (TESCON), where he served as President at Abetifi College of Education. His tenure at TESCON was characterized by his efforts to bolster student welfare and the organization's mission.

Amedza's aspirations transcended student politics; he had previously contested an Assembly Member position in 2023, though without success. He later returned to active electoral politics, securing his current role as Deputy Secretary just months before his untimely demise.
