Nigerian woman who went missing after arriving Doha found safe

A Nigerian woman, 37 years old, who went missing after arriving in Doha, Qatar, has been found alive. Her brother, Jonathan Jibo, confirmed the news on Sunday, informing that she had become ill after her arrival and was taken to a hospital from the airport. The woman, who had never been to Qatar before, was making her first trip to the country.

She had worked at Lagos Airport for nearly a decade and was scheduled to begin a new job in Doha following her arrival. Her disappearance prompted a social media campaign and an appeal from the Nigerian Embassy in Doha, Qatar Airways, and other authorities. The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority's Director of Public Affairs, Michael Achimugu, later confirmed via airline records that she had arrived safely at Doha Airport, picked her bags and exited the terminal.

Her brother's update brought clarity to the situation, revealing that her hospitalization was due to illness. Her family is now relieved and appreciative of the support they received from the Nigerian community and various authorities.
