KP CM determined to hold Karachi rally as PTI convoy en route to city

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi is traveling to Karachi from Hyderabad on Sunday, determined to hold a rally despite obstacles in his convoy's journey. The KP CM, accompanied by PTI provincial President Junaid Akbar, has been conducting a five-day public mobilization campaign in Sindh ahead of the party's nationwide protest on September 27 for the release of Imran Khan and his urgent medical treatment at Shifa International Hospital.

PTI confirmed their convoy entered Hyderabad around 5:30pm, where Afridi addressed a rally, criticizing the PML-N and PPP. He stated, "Tomorrow another worker is to become chief minister from PTI," and urged the youth to take action. Afridi demanded an apology from PML-N's Maryam Nawaz for her recent remarks about security threats in Punjab.

He accused the Sharif family of tax evasion and lack of sincerity. PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja emphasized that September 27 is the "day of true freedom" for the people. Karachi's District East police warned that no public gatherings would be permitted around Mazar-i-Quaid, and security arrangements were heightened. Traffic was blocked near Mazar-i-Quaid, with alternative routes diverted.

Afridi also addressed PTI workers in Tando Allahyar, alleging obstacles for his convoy and urging support for September 27 rallies nationwide. Meanwhile, PTI condemned alleged blockades and police actions against its workers, labeling them as a "manifestation of the PPP's blatant political hypocrisy and fear."
