Morena district in Madhya Pradesh is experiencing continuous heavy rainfall that has caused the Kunwari River to swell, raising concerns of potential flooding in Nahravali village and surrounding low-lying areas. As the river level continues to rise, residents are proactively moving their families and livestock to safer locations. In the Nahravali Gram Panchayat under Jaura Janpad Panchayat, the situation is particularly critical, as the Kunwari River has become turbulent following the persistent rain.

Rivers and streams across the district are in spate, leading to waterlogging and creating flood-like conditions in several areas. With the rising river posing a threat to life and property, villagers are urging the administration to provide timely relief and rescue arrangements. They are also requesting that rescue teams be deployed in vulnerable areas and arrangements made to evacuate residents if the situation worsens.

Families residing near the riverbank and in low-lying areas are particularly vulnerable due to the strong current and rising water levels. Authorities have advised residents to stay away from the Kunwari River and other areas with fast-flowing water. They have also warned against attempting to cross the river or wade through flooded stretches.

Given the ongoing rainfall, residents of Nahravali and surrounding areas remain anxious and are closely monitoring the Kunwari River, hoping that the water level will recede and the rainfall will ease, allowing for their safety.
