Faisalabad Traffic Police Issues Number Plate Advisory for Motorcyclists

The City Traffic Police in Faisalabad has issued an advisory for motorcycle owners, announcing that Excise Department number plates will not incur any fees. The police shared this update on their social media platforms, urging citizens to prepare their motorcycle plates themselves according to the Excise Department’s guidelines.

According to the guidelines, motorcycle number plates must be crafted from white metal, featuring black embossed letters and numbers that are easily discernible. Two specific plate formats have been prescribed: rectangular and square. For the rectangular plate, dimensions are 205 mm in width and 70 mm in height, while the square plate measures 200 mm in width and 170 mm in height. Both plates require a 10 mm margin on all sides, including the top and bottom.

The rectangular plate should have character heights ranging between 30 to 35 mm, whereas the square plate characters should measure 45 to 50 mm in height. The police have emphasized the importance of adhering to these prescribed sizes and specifications, urging motorcycle owners to avoid using non-standard number plates.
