Israel's Netanyahu orders West Bank settler outposts to be removed, sources say
TEL AVIV: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed the removal of unauthorized settler outposts in the West Bank, according to two sources familiar with the situation. The order targets structures established without official approval from the Israeli state, consisting of prefabricated units housing a small number of settlers.
The state has previously dismantled or formally recognized such outposts, granting them access to government funding. The legality of Israeli settlements under international law and the status of the West Bank as occupied territory are subjects of ongoing debate.
