Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 8 is set to premiere today, with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal returning as the host for the eighth consecutive year. The new season will feature a mix of known celebrities, familiar faces, and contestants chosen through an Agnipareeksha competition. The show will be accessible on both Asianet TV and the JioHotstar OTT platform.

Mohanlal shared, "Winning once isn't enough; you must keep achieving. I will be there too, with a few Chanakya-style strategies. That's when the game gets serious." Contestants expected to join the Bigg Boss house include activists Rahul Easwar and Sreelakshmi Arakkal, as well as controversial singer Suchitra. This season marks the first time in the show's history that the audience will directly select commoners to participate alongside celebrities.
