Andy Williams, Former Every Time I Die Guitarist and Pro Wrestler, Dead at 48

Andy Williams, a former guitarist for the acclaimed metalcore band Every Time I Die and a professional wrestler known as "The Butcher," passed away at the age of 48 after collapsing at a wrestling event in Pennsylvania. Williams was competing in a tag-team match alongside his partner Jesse "The Blade" Guilmette at an Enjoy Wrestling event in Millvale, Pennsylvania, when he suddenly collapsed.

He was immediately given CPR at the venue and rushed to a nearby hospital, but tragically, he could not be revived. TMZ confirmed the news of Williams' death through the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office.

Williams and Guilmette had been wrestling together as "The Butcher and The Blade" for seven years as part of the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) roster before their contract was not renewed in June. They continued to wrestle independently after their contract ended. Alongside his wrestling career, Williams was a founding member of Every Time I Die, which he was a part of from its inception in 1998 until its dissolution in 2022.

He contributed to all nine studio albums by the band, including their final release, 2021's Radical, which was recognized by Consequence for being one of the best metal and hard rock albums of that year.

Upon learning of Williams' hospitalization, news of his condition spread quickly, with former Every Time I Die guitarist Jordan Buckley expressing his condolences on X/Twitter. Buckley encouraged those who wished to offer prayers for Williams during this difficult time. Three other former members of Every Time I Die, including Buckley, went on to form the band Better Lovers, while Williams established a new band called Atomic Rule.
