[Exclusive] Police and local governments left an 11-year-old at the scene of abuse without checking their safety... Government measures with 'missing core' just make empty sounds

A 11-year-old boy, ㄱ, died last month in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province, after being abused at a church. Police and city officials had visited the church on two occasions, but left the boy there despite concerns about his safety. The boy was later found to have been tied to a bed for over 30 hours and had suffered severe abuse before his death.

The government has since announced measures to prevent similar incidents, but critics say that the plans do not adequately address the issue of ensuring the safety of children who are not immediately separated from their abusers.
