Man beaten to death in Delhi’s Mayur Vihar, security guard’s rescue effort fails

On the night of Saturday and Sunday, a man died after being brutally attacked in Delhi's Mayur Vihar area. The victim, likely in his early forties, has yet to be identified as no identifying items were found on his person. Eyewitnesses, including a security guard employed at a nearby society, reported that the victim was accompanied by two other men when they got into a fight near DDA flats in Mayur Vihar Phase-3.

The assailants obtained nearby wooden planks and used them to beat the victim, despite the security guard's attempts to intervene. The attackers fled the scene, leaving the victim critically injured. The police obtained CCTV footage of the incident, which showed the victim being beaten by the two accused. Later, the security guard informed the police of the event.

Sadly, the victim succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. Local inquiries are underway to determine the victim's identity, and police teams are actively searching for the perpetrators. The incident has drawn attention to the declining sense of safety and security in the national capital, with local AAP MLA Kuldeep Kumar citing seven to eight reported murders in his constituency within the past month.
