US ambassador to Israel says no plan to force Palestinians out of Gaza

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee asserted on Saturday that there is no intention by the Israeli government to force Palestinians to leave Gaza. Speaking to reporters in Turmus Ayya, a Palestinian town in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, Huckabee stated categorically that the Israelis have no plan to displace people from Gaza against their will.

He emphasized that if Palestinians wish to leave, they should have the right to do so. Huckabee criticized the idea of incarcerating individuals in a place they do not want to be, calling it "an absolute disgrace." He reiterated that neither Israel nor the United States supports forced displacement in Gaza. In a separate statement, Defense Minister Israel Katz mentioned that there is no viable solution for Gaza without the mass migration of its population.

Far-right security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir proposed a seven-year plan for the voluntary emigration of Gaza's residents. Israel is set to hold a general election on October 27.
