US ambassador to Israel calls for 'severe consequences' to stop West Bank violence

US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee has urged for severe consequences to halt violence in the occupied West Bank following a meeting with Palestinians affected by Israeli settler aggression. During his visit to the Palestinian town of Turmus Ayya, a frequent target of settler attacks, Huckabee engaged with families of US citizens who have been killed by Israeli settlers and soldiers.

He emphasized that crime and terror are treated equally, and perpetrators should face severe consequences. However, Huckabee refrained from criticizing Israel. He stressed that the Israeli government must ensure the safety and security of the West Bank's population, having visited the area to better understand the current situation.
