Thai DPM Sihasak to undertake two‑day working visit to Malaysia from Sept 6

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 5 — Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sihasak Phuangketkeow, is set to embark on a two-day working visit to Malaysia from September 6th to the 7th, as per the PR Thai Government. The PR Thai Government announced on their Facebook page that the visit aims to build upon the discussions held between the leaders of both nations during Prime Minister Sihasak's official trip to Malaysia on July 9th and 10th.

Sihasak will be joined by the Director of the National Intelligence Agency, Thanat Suwannanon, and the Chief of the Peace Dialogue Panel for the Southern Border Provinces. The delegation is slated to meet with Malaysia's Foreign Minister, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, to discuss border security and the joint development of border regions.

The discussions will primarily focus on enhancing infrastructure, improving road and rail connectivity, and constructing additional sections of the border fence to curb illegal cross-border activities. The Thai government believes that this cooperation will bolster security, connectivity, and economic development in the border areas, ultimately benefiting the people on both sides.
